Members of CFTRA have made it clear that they want to see an increased focus on campaigns on housing related matters.
Several consultations and surveys culminated in a general meeting held on 1 December 2007 which asked the Management Committee to build its service around the principles of not compromising its own independence, able to criticise Camden Council.
At the time of writing this introduction, CFTRA are in negotiations with Camden to agree a Negotiated Funding Agreement (NFA) for delivering certain Tenant Participation Services to Council Tenants and Leaseholders. CFTRA have communicated the principle of independence and “being able to bite the hand that feeds”.
It seems that as long as CFTRA is factual with this aspiration then Camden is willing to accept us as a “tolerated critique”.
Therefore with this aim in mind we have put together a set of links to external publications and to pages on this website which we believe you will find interesting.
